 Leslie Carothers

A former principal dancer with the Joffrey Ballet and Pennsylvania Ballet, Leslie has danced throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia.

She was featured on television in Dance in America’s A Night At The Joffrey, televised on PBS, The Diana Ross Show, The Merv Griffen Show, and others.  She has danced principal roles in works by contemporary masters George Balanchine, Sir Frederick Ashton, Jiri Kylian, William Forsythe, Twyla Tharp, and Mark Morris, amongst many others, and performed the title roles in many of the full-length classical ballet repertoire, such as The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Coppelia, Giselle, The Sleeping Beauty, and Cranko’s Romeo and Juliet.

Leslie has served as Dance Institute Director, Artistic Director, Ballet Chair, and dance faculty at The Colburn School of Performing Arts in downtown Los Angeles, and currently teaches nationally, internationally, and in the Los Angeles area. She is a Certified Zena Rommett Floor-Barre® teacher, and has recently been honored with the title of Zena Rommett Floor-Barre®  Mentor.
